The challenge
The symposium asked how open European science could remain as geopolitical tensions and research-security concerns grew. Researchers, policymakers and civil society brought different views to a conversation with no easy conclusion.
The approach
I managed communications for the event and wrote the official report, capturing the main arguments, points of disagreement and policy questions without flattening the discussion.
The outcome
The report gave participants and wider audiences a concise account of what was discussed and what remained unresolved.
